Carole A. Feuerman is an American artist, and widely considered to be one of the world’s most prominent hyper-realistic sculptors.

Working from her studio in New York City, Feuerman is most known for her resin sculptures painted in oil, but also utilizes other media such as bronze and stone.  She developed a technique she calls “painting with fire” where she pours, splatters and splashes up to five different molten metals that are 2000 degrees in temperature. Most recently she has introduced photography and video media as a component to her sculptural works and plans on creating more installations for late 2011.

She is represented by galleries both nationally and abroad, and has work in many public and private collections all over the world. She has enjoyed six museum retrospectives to date, and has been included in exhibitions at prominent venues including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, Italy.

Among the notable honors Feuerman has received are the Amelia Peabody Sculpture Award, the Betty Parsons Award in sculpture, the Lorenzo de Medici Prize at the 2001 Biennale di Firenze, and First Prize at the 2008 Beijing Biennale, while her works reside notably in the collections of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, the Absolut Art Collection, and Forbes Magazine, among others. Public collections exhibit her work to the masses at The Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, The Bass Museum in Miami Beach, The Tampa Museum, The Boca Raton Museum, The Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami, The Miami Children’s Museum, Queensborough Community College Art Museum, Brandeis University, and Grounds for Sculpture.
