Houston, Texas artist, Natalie Irish, enjoys painting with a provocative part of her anatomy. No, not that part! The pint sized painter smothers her lips in her favorite lipstick and goes to town on the canvas, peck-kissing her way to amazingly detailed portraits of iconic stars.

Ms. Irish admits that her lips get puckered out after all that kissing, and that her eyes grow weary from constantly moving back and forth from the canvas to examine her work.  But what else was she supposed to do with a hoarder size collection of lip and chap stick?

In a recent YouTube video, she presses her lips on a white canvas over and over until Marilyn Monroe, in all her fire engine red glory, stares back at the viewer.

Irish recalls being praised for paintings she had done in high school using only her thumbprint, and was later inspired when she blotted her lips on a napkin, and realized she could make more specific shapes by varying the pressure of  her smooches.  Marilyn Monroe subsequently popped into her head as the perfect first subject of her lipstick fueled artistic aspirations, and the rest, as they say, is history.
