This amazing image, taken by a Russian photographer somewhere in the mid west, is the closet thing we’ve ever seen to an apocalyptic message from above, or an extraterrestrial visit veiled by a column of ominous clouds.

No alterations were performed on the image, and are simply the product of a keen eyed lensman and his expensive digital camera.  We’re guessing he sought shelter after snapping this one…
