Araya’s Place – Vegan Thai Cuisine, Los Angeles

Araya’s Place Vegan Thai Restaurant opened up it’s first Los Angeles location this month on Beverly Blvd & Crescent Heights.

As we entered the charming restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owners, Cheri and Fern (sisters) who moved to L.A. from Seattle where they already have 2 Araya’s Place locations. The menu had a great variety of options from appetizers, soups, salads, noodles, rice & more. Everything looked SO delicious! We ordered the Mango Salad(Mango, fried tofu, tomato ,red onion and cashews with chilis & spices), Fried Brussels Sprouts, Tom Kah Soup(Spicy coconut milk tofu soup flavored with galangal, lemon grass, lime leaves, mushrooms, onions and chili paste.) and the Avocado Curry(Avocado, seitan, soft & fried tofu, bell pepper and basil in green curry.)

Each dish was exceptional! The Mango Salad was sweet & tangy with the perfect amount of spice & the Cashews gave it a nice crunch. The Brussels Sprouts were hearty & full of flavor, the Tom Kah soup was some of the best we’ve ever tasted, and the Avocado Curry was so unique & so tasty.

Araya’s only uses organic produce and get all of their Fruits & Veggies from the local Farmers Market.
Definitely some of the best Vegan food in the city, and the service couldn’t have been sweeter. Such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, Can’t wait to go back & try some new dishes!
