Founder Kai Loebach grew up in Wuppertal, in the middle of Germany, currywurst was a part of his daily life -There were countless stands, kiosks and even Currywurst Restaurants.
There were different names and styles throughout Germany for this kind of fast food place. “Fritten Bude” is a term used in Berlin, and “Pommes Bude” closer to his hometown. In fact, at a young age he quickly developed an opinion as to which was out own favorite “Pommes Bude”. Typically, currywurst is accompanied by Pommes (French Fries) and served with a selection of mayonnaise and ketchup (Rot/Weiss or Schranke).
